I really love clothing that can double as poetic imagery; flowey maxi dresses that produce imagery of dainty clouds on a summer days, dark blue denim that doubles as a ominous storm cell and knit jumpers that look like a perfectly clear starry night sky. Imagine my delight when I first put on this jumper and realised that every movement bought on a new round of twinkling. Like Van Gogh's painting only better and much more wearable.

The best thing about this jumper is that the sequins are actually sewn into the knit rather than just being on top, which really enhances the whole sparkly effect and is surprisingly not at all scratchy (I hate scratchy sequins)

I can't even begin to explain just how exhausted I am, I've got my last runway show tonight and I can't determine which of my feelings is stronger; disappointment at the event being all over, or the fact that I won't in bed asleep by 8.30. LMFF has been one big adventure for me and I'm so ecstatic that I got to be a part of it, it's just making me more and more excited for Sydney Fashion Week which will be upon us all very soon.I hope you've been enjoying my tweets and instagram posts. And if you didn't have the pleasure of attending this wonderful event then I hope I've given you a little insight into the whole week. Big thanks to AMPR for allowing me to come, the wonderful city of Melbourne for having me and Mossman clothing for covering my last minute wardrobe needs. LMFF you have officially been owned.

LMFF is well and truly under way, our first runway show of the week was last night and what a good starting point! The Independent Runway sponsored by Yen Magazine and The Thousands featured amazing Australian brands like Ksubi, Jolet, Something Else and Lui Hon. I was really blown away by the quality of the garments and the styling, with each look perfectly tweaked to echo the style of the brand and the show as a whole. Makeup was kept clean and simple with pearly shades for cheeks and eyes, while the hair was wet and sleek on top and matte and wild down below. My personal favourites were the wonderful khaki coats with splashes of leopard print from Ksubi and the delicious fairy floss pink blouses from Something Else.

Now I'm sure there are loads of place where you can see looks direct from the runway, so instead of posting boring runway shots I thought I'd show you my favourite details from the show. Hello blog lovers all the way from sunny Melbourne! In case you all didn't know I'm down here for L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Super excited to be here and expecting to do lots of fun posts to do with the events I'll be going to. I haven't actually gone to any shows yet so April was kind enough to take some outfit shots for me of what I wore during the day.

I couldn't resist shooting this pretty green number in front of the quiet and somber colours of Federation Square and the surrounding architecture. I've spotted heaps of beautiful places to take shots so expect to see lots of Melbourne scenery in my up coming outfit posts.

You would think with such a vibrant lime green colour this blazer would be hard to wear, but I swear it is one of the most versatile colours in my wardrobe. It just goes with everything, and I especially love the combination of the bright green with the sorbet mint of my favourite new Mink Pink knit! Winter is coming guys, I've made it official with my first knit purchase of the season, just a hint of great things to come this winter.

Here are the last four photos from my perfect afternoon spent lazing by a river. I know I don't normally post two lots of the same outfit but I had such a hard time narrowing down my favourites so I had no choice, plus with all this rain I haven't actually had the chance to shoot something new. As you can tell I had a little bit of fun with some black and white shots, I think it was just so perfect for the mood of the shoot! We do get some very nice weather down here but this day was perfection lovely and warm and gorgeous golden light right as the sun went down. What more could you ask for?

So, I'm off to Melbourne tomorrow to kick start my LMFF adventures and I'd love to know what you guys want to see/read about while I'm there. Do you want to see all the shows, street style snaps, travel pics or just outfit photos? I promise there will be tonnes of photos, you'll all be so sick of me by the end of the week.

I cannot believe that these photos were taken less than a week ago. I guess it just goes to show how the weather really can chance in the blink of an eye, one minute you're wearing gorgeous summer dresses the next you're curled up in bed with a cup of tea desperately trying to keep warm. I think I must have foreseen the bad weather ahead and clung to summer with all I had left because I really went all out with my 'summer look'. I'm normally not a huge fan of sandals, but these lovely tan ones are just the perfect addition to any summer outfit and the gold buckles were an exact match with my vintage glomesh necklace, so the choice was obvious! Even though I love rugging up in fluffy cardigans and ankle booties, a small part of me will miss bright, sunshiney days like this. I first bought this dress to wear to the Tony Bianco blogger showing which was October last year and I literally haven't worn it since, a dress this beautiful can't just be worn anywhere. A dress like this can only be worn on the most sublime days and can only be worn for occasions such as basking, loitering, sipping coffee and pondering the meaning of life. Because we all need special dresses for pondering the meaning of life right?

I feel like I'm always searching for that 'perfect afternoon', I used to think it involved a good cup of coffee, a book and my bed, but I'm fairly certain the afternoon that I took these photos takes the cake. I've been desperately trying to find something to wear with this vintage kimono for what feels like years, but was realistically only about two weeks, when my mum suggested 'Why don't you just wear it with all white?' I'm not sure why this rather obvious answer didn't occur to me sooner but I'm glad that someone lead me there in the end. I can't believe how amazing the print on this kimono looks when paired with an all white backdrop, it really brings out the stunning lemon in it and makes the floral pattern just burst right out of the material. I think having this amazing scenery to shoot in helps too, but I'd like to think this piece would look sensational just about anywhere. 

I was so pleased with how beautiful and serene the photos looked that I actually couldn't narrow it down to one post, so here are just of my favourites and the next lot will be coming at you next week!

Also for those of your who haven't heard me blubbering about it on my other many social media platforms, I was fortunate enough to be given a media pass for L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and will bringing it all to you starting next Saturday! I cannot wait! The word excitement doesn't even begin to cover it.
