L I G H T S. A N D. S O U N D S.

Photography by Laura Bray.

Ok, so this has been a long, long time coming. I shot this mini editorial a month and a bit back for some students at The Institute of Design in Ulladulla. We actually shot two separate stories and this is just one of them. I'm really, really happy with how both of them turned out I wish I was a better photographer but I am slowly learning little tricks to make myself seem better than I actually am. As you can see we were aiming for a fairly dark sort of vibe and I really love how the lights we used turned out once the photos were switched to black and white. And just a side note, don't pay too close attention to the captions because I suck at them...practice makes perfect right?
Big thankyou's to all the designers who were there on the day to help out especially Jess for doing hair and makeup, also thanks to Tailormaid Communications and The Wonderland PR for lending us some extra stock to shoot there is no way this could have all come together if not for all these wonderful people. And just quietly if you want to see more of model Erin's gorgeous face, you can check out her blog here I haven't posted all the finished shots because there were too many but if you do want to see them all we're uploading them on our Facebook Page. Also just quickly I was very disappointed to see that not a single person left us some feedback on our last posts! Naughty, naughty. There are some big changes coming up around the corner so we'd really appreciate your ideas before we put all these changes into effect!

  2. I. LOVE.

Perfect lighting, though I only wish that you'd made it a little brighter, because the grain on some of the photos can make them look a little funny. Overall it's amazing, and I think you need do a lot more editorials, because I for one am definitely loving them. x

    1. Yeah it was a tricky line to walk, as soon as you boosted the lighting the pattern from the light machine pretty much disappeared. The darker the pic and the higher the contrast the better the pattern showed. Overall I'm pretty damn happy with how it turned out.
