What can I say about Mrs Press that isn't already insanely obvious? That the store is ridiculously beautiful? That the clothes are ridiculously beautiful? Or that Clare Press herself has to be one of the nicest ladies I've ever been fortunate enough to meet? I know I sound like I'm gushing, but the Mrs Press store in Paddington is something that is entirely 'gush-worthy'. Think high ceilings, bright airy spaces, peacocks and stair cases that lead to nowhere (although I secretly think it might lead to Neverland), I am well and truly smitten.
Basically Melissa and I spent close to an hour wandering around the space continually oohing and aahing over everything, most especially these shorts, nibbling on delicious cupcakes and bonding over a shared love of pineapples with Mrs Press herself. All in all an afternoon well spent, and I would recommend to everyone that they get their keister's over to the store. Or if you can't get yourself to the store you can pick up Clare Press' new book 'The Dressing Table' and get a little bit of 'Mrs Press' magic from the comfort of your own bed.
