D O W N T I M E

Blouse and loafers both vintage. Shorts from Topshop

There is something so incredibly calming about the ocean. Even when it's wild, with white horses everywhere, the simple idea that it is constant and will always be there when you need it is incredibly soothing. I've always loved taking photos at the beach, the simple background always seems to enhance whatever you're wearing and make a mediocre outfit look great. And plus, blue goes with everything right? I felt very much like an ocean today in my white wash shorts and floral blouse in all different shades of blue and green. Very simple.
It's always nice to not have to worry about being 'dressed up' so I suppose this is more a post about what I wear during my downtime. Comfort is key and I can't think of anything more comfy than linen shorts and breezy blouse. As usual I've thrown a bit of vintage love into my outfit, I picked up this gorgeous blouse for like a $1 at a thrift store, I love the cute collar and the gorgeous floral pattern only adds to the overall adorableness. What more could you possibly want for a day spent watching 'Breakfast at Tiffanys' and relaxing at the beach?

  3. this is so weird! I picked up a blouse exactly like yours at the local op shop ages ago, but mine doesn't have the darker floral stripe print through it!! the cut and and other floral pattern is exactly the same!

    great photos, stunning location!

  10. The beach is perhaps the most perfect backdrop or subject of a photograph. Love your scalloped shorts. It fits the ocean.
