As a blogger, you get a fair amount of look books dropping in your inbox. Some stand out, and some don't, I guess it all just depends on your own personal style and whether or not the brand appeals to you personally.
To say that the Latopic A/W 2012 collection called to me would be an understatement. I'm not going to lie, I may or may not have actually cried with joy at the sight of that velvet blazer. Cried, only because I know I can't have it till early next year.
And the fun doesn't stop there, the velvet motif continues through the entire collection with shorts, drapey capes and even some 70's style flairs, which I know would be greatly appreciate paired with a pussy bow blouse and platforms. Not only velvet but there are sequins galore too! With skater skirts and tailored blazers covered in shimmery goodness, you often find that sequins can be really over done and quite tacky but I think that Latopic has done an amazing job, striking a perfect balance between elegance and 'stay up all night' fun.
Latopic is the sort of brand that I can imagine myself feeling infinitely cooler simply by wearing it, and maybe if I stroke that blazer enough some of it's magic will rub off on me.
According to its creator, Lisa Burns 'The LATOPIC girl exudes undone, carefree, grungy glam. She’s alittle bit tough, a little bit flirtatious and always fun!’. I can definitely see this coming from their latest collection and I'm really looking forward to seeing what Lisa comes up with next. Now I've just got to hang out till winter.
Let's just say I la la love Latopic.
my pick would be the red circle skirt.

I'm actually liking the first photo of the floral blouse and skirt outfit. The velvet blazer and skirt is pretty awesome. Velvet is coming back. It used to be big in the 90s. I had a velvet blazer, pants and shell at one point.
