B R E A T H E. I N. O U T

Jumper/Loafers- Vintage. Skirt- Jay Jays. Hat- Topshop. Necklace- Diva

Some days you just need to sit back, relax and breathe deeply. With my new course, interning, applying for jobs, blogging, going to showings, working and the 8,000 other things I do from day to day (on top of the 3.5 hr drive it takes for me to get to Sydney), I feel like I haven't had the chance to just stop and breathe. So the other day that's exactly what I did, headed down to the beach to soak in this wonderful sunshine, took the dogs for a walk and then went home and just did nothing. And by nothing I mean watched re-runs of How I Met Your Mother and ate water crackers with cheese. After having such a relaxing day I always feel motivated and more inspired to work even harder than before, I personally think this is the key to getting things done! Since my mum has decided she is happy to take my outfit shots for me, I can start concentrating on finding beautiful locations. So on the next few weeks I plan to take you all on a photographic tour of where I live, and all the beautiful spots that I have access to! Just another job on the to-do list!

As much as I love being busy I think it's incredibly important for your sanity to wear pretty hats, dance around the beach in impractical loafers and just allow yourself to not worry about everything at once.

  1. I love the pictures, this place is beautiful :) your necklace has caught my eye instantly :). And yea I know what you mean, I stress too much about things that don't matter and forget to breathe and think about myself first. My trip to Tuscany this weekend was exactly what I needed.

  7. I'm going to have to second that last thought...I think it was Keynes that said, "In the long-run we're all dead" so it's better not to wait for enjoyment. The idea is a bit simplistic but definitely applicable to any American's lifestyle. Sometimes I just stop and wonder why I work so hard :/ Anyway, sorry to get depressing! I love this outfit. It's so quaint. I wish I could pull off hats that well.

  15. This is my favourite combination this season. Short sweater and skirt. And when you add to that hat like yours, it's perfect!
