Like I've said before, lately I've been embracing colour. The most recent edition is this fuscia pink blouse. I can't believe I used to think that wearing colour was difficult, I've magically discovered that it's actually fairly simple and have since been wearing glaringly bright pieces on a daily basis. It's actually kind of nice wearing really bright colours, it adds a little warmth into this incredibly disappointing summer we've been having, it's like carrying your own personal sun wherever you go. Which is why I decided to shoot this outfit at this old abandoned petrol station, I love the contrast of colours I love walking around somewhere that's been deserted for so long, like your injecting a little bit of life into a long forgotten place.
I think the neutrals from the surrounds work really well together because I can't handle too many colours at once, and found my hands automatically reaching for my trusty leather shorts to break the combo up. As I'm diving into unfamiliar territory with this whole 'colour' thing, I still need that safety net...just in case.
