M I S S. U N K O N

All photos by me.

Earlier this week I had the absolute pleasure of checking out the S/S Miss Unkon collection, I'd been lucky enough to see their show at MBFWA first hand but it was so nice to get up close and personal with the pieces and look closely at the details that you can't really see on the runway. I know that showing posts are never very exciting for readers because seeing images of clothes that you can't buy for another few months isn't all that fun, which is why I tried to focus more on taking detail shots so you can not only see the little details that really make these pieces special, but also the quality and love that's put into every single garment.
The thing that has always struck me about Miss Unkon is Courtney, the designer, and her hands on attitude. It's very rare that you attend showings and get to hear the story behind the designs from the designer herself, you can feel the love and passion for her line radiating off her and it only helps to make you even more passionate about it yourself.
When asked which piece was my favourite I did struggle a bit but couldn't go past the stunning form fitting dress with a chiffon skirt, the magenta embroidery on the top gets me every time...
Needless to say it's a collection that I will be hammering down the door to get at once it's available in stores.

  1. You lucky girl. While I have never seen Miss Unkon in person (I don't think it's available in Wellington?), I love seeing the floaty saccharine designs. That magenta embroidery looks beautiful!

    1. Hey Jamie, we are pretty lucky to have access to some ah-mazing designers. I just looked for you on the website and there is one stockist of Miss Unkon in Auckland: http://www.missunkon.com/BuyMissUnkon/Stockist/tabid/180/Default.aspx

Otherwise you can purchase some of their items online! Hope this helped :)

    1. The embroidery is gorgeous! The pattern is actually all Courtney's, she took it from one of her sketches and turned it into a detail on her garments!
