S T A R R Y. N I G H T.

Jumper; Mossman Clothing. Shorts; Vintage. Shoes; Rubi Shoes.

I really love clothing that can double as poetic imagery; flowey maxi dresses that produce imagery of dainty clouds on a summer days, dark blue denim that doubles as a ominous storm cell and knit jumpers that look like a perfectly clear starry night sky. Imagine my delight when I first put on this jumper and realised that every movement bought on a new round of twinkling. Like Van Gogh's painting only better and much more wearable.
The best thing about this jumper is that the sequins are actually sewn into the knit rather than just being on top, which really enhances the whole sparkly effect and is surprisingly not at all scratchy (I hate scratchy sequins)
I can't even begin to explain just how exhausted I am, I've got my last runway show tonight and I can't determine which of my feelings is stronger; disappointment at the event being all over, or the fact that I won't in bed asleep by 8.30. LMFF has been one big adventure for me and I'm so ecstatic that I got to be a part of it, it's just making me more and more excited for Sydney Fashion Week which will be upon us all very soon.I hope you've been enjoying my tweets and instagram posts. And if you didn't have the pleasure of attending this wonderful event then I hope I've given you a little insight into the whole week. Big thanks to AMPR for allowing me to come, the wonderful city of Melbourne for having me and Mossman clothing for covering my last minute wardrobe needs. LMFF you have officially been owned.

  1. Nothing like something glittery... It's like champagne, there's never a wrong time to be enjoying some, I think. And scratchy fabrics suck ass. I've yet to find a knitted jumper which hasn't been made of the most abrasive thread known to man. It's like there's been rocks and glass and hate infused into the fibers. As for your LMFF outfits, or at least the two I've seen, I love 'em. Fairly different to your usual style, though that's most likely on Melbourne's behalf ;) I've yet to go, in fact I've never really ventured outside of NSW/ACT, but I'll definitely have to head over next year for LMFF. This may be the longest comment I've written to date, even longer than the last one I wrote...

Can't wait for your next post, and I definitely can't wait to work with you on a shoot sometime soon. x

    1. Geez you know how to write a comment Mister! Scratchy fabric does indeed suck, thanks I'm fairly happy with my outfits even if some did go awry because of the cold weather.

I second this excitement for working on a shoot :D

  4. I have to try to DIY that sweater. Just as you said that the sequins are sewn in to it, makes it even better! The surface altogether is interesting with the backwards knitted texture. Love the whole outfit combo too!

    1. Yeah they're a fantastic brand who were kind enough to offer to dress a few bloggers for LMFF, this knit was my saviour on those few really cold days we had.

Oh no that's sad. I was hoping I could scam some shots off you for a post. Oh well! Hope you guys got some other good shots though :)
