Sometimes I honestly don't feel like there are enough hours in the day, between working, interning, blogging and attempting to have a social life I barely have a second to breath. So it was really nice to head out to this spot and spend a half hour or so wandering, smelling flowers and lurking near people's rustic wooden fences. On days like this having my mum as my blog photographer is so much fun. I know I've said it a thousand times, but there is just something about sunlight during the late afternoon that makes everything magical and you almost feel like you're living in a Sophia Coppola movie. After a while your afternoon turns into less of an outfit photography session and more of a 'day dreaming about rolling around in fields wearing a white dress' and then things sort of just deteriorate from there. But lets face it there is nothing wrong with spending the afternoon day dreaming, in fact it's a pretty amazing way to waste away the hours and I think we should all set aside a few minutes everyday to indulge in a little day dreaming.
I've been experimenting with make up lately and I'm really pleased with the results. I'm normally a 'less is more' type of gal but I'm really loving the subtle cat eye that I'm slowly but surely mastering, and I'm also starting to learn that baby pink blush makes the world a better place. And of course some flowers too.
