Dress by Hourglass. Cardigan and belt are vintage. Clogs are Nordic Fusion
Today I truly lived out my Jane Austen fantasy, I spent the afternoon running around in this gorgeous linen dress and wooden clogs, enjoying the sun, hanging out washing and forcibly restraining myself from speaking in a stupid cockney accent. There is just something about linen dresses that makes me associate them with maids from the 17th century. Regardless of what it is, I'm happy to fully embrace it. I would just like to point out that the last two days have been ridiculously gorgeous weather and it makes me incredibly excited for summer, not only has the warmth bought out my incredibly pasty legs, but it has also summoned pretty much every single flower around my house, meaning I'm constantly walking around in a heady mix of perfume and colour. This may bush is just one example of the glorious flora we're currently being blessed with!
It seems to me that as summer slowly creeps towards us the days just seem to get better and better. Summer for me means sunshine, long walks through the national park, swimming and most importantly food! I always seem to eat more in winter, but hey, who's complaining?
